NI'IHAU SHELL LEI 3 STRAND PIKAKE LENALENA POLEHOLEHO APU'UPU'U 36 INCH (2778-15)

Expertly crafted on the island of Ni'ihau Hawai'i, this lei is truly a work of art.

Strung in the Pikake style, each layer of shells interlaces seamlessly with the next.
All shells are of the Momi (Dove shell) variety with Lenalena (slightly yellow/off-white) coloring, though some shells exhibit golden stripes or dotted ends. The strands are connected by a 21mmX31mm Pōleholeho (decorative shell which ties the ends of each strand together) of the 'Āpu'upu'u (bumpy cowrie) variety with superbly-matched color.
This lei measures approximately 36 inches in length, creating a 18 inch 'drop length' when worn.
