Description
Cream Lenalena momi shells fill all three strands of this Ni’ihau shell lei, strung in the Pikake style so the shells spiral in a tight, even rope down each strand. The strands gather at a bumpy Poleholeho cowrie closure in a matched cream, and the lei runs approximately 38 inches in length, wearing at about a 19-inch drop. This lei was strung entirely by hand in Hawaii from shells gathered on Ni’ihau. The matched cream across all three strands is the mark of careful sorting.
This item was made in Hawaii, and is at least 80% Niihau shell. The actual percentage of Niihau shell in this item is 100%.
