Description
Strung in the interlaced pikake style, the three strands of this Ni’ihau shell lei carry dove shaped Momi shells in Ke’oke’o white with soft tan flecking scattered along the strands. The ends gather at an Apu’upu’u poleholeho, a bumpy cowrie close to 19 by 27mm, color matched to the strands and framed by small banded spacer shells. The lei measures approximately 30 inches in length. This lei was strung entirely by hand in Hawaii from shells gathered on Ni’ihau.
This item was made in Hawaii, and is at least 80% Niihau shell. The actual percentage of Niihau shell in this item is 100%.
