Description
Two ropes of small white shells twist around each other in this double strand Ni’ihau shell lei, hand strung in the pikake style from Momi Ke’oke’o shells, the dove shell in its white form. A bumpy Apu’upu’u cowrie joins the strands as the poleholeho connector, and the lei runs approximately 37 inches in length, the paired strands hanging in one soft twined loop.
This item was made in Hawaii, and is at least 80% Niihau shell. The actual percentage of Niihau shell in this item is 100%.
