Description
Ten fine strands of pure white ke’oke’o momi shells make up this Ni’ihau shell lei, hand-strung in the straight pololei style with a matching pair of clip-on earrings. The lei measures approximately 36 inches around, an 18-inch drop when worn, and the strands gather over a bumpy apu’upu’u cowrie shell of about 25 by 15 millimeters at the closure. The earrings carry the same white momi shells in short clusters, approximately 1.5 inches in length.
