Description
A Mikimoto pendant necklace in 14K yellow gold, its white Akoya cultured pearl of approximately 7mm hung on its own link inside an open shell-form frame, free to swing as the necklace moves. The wavy frame crosses itself in a small loop below the bail, and the back carries the Mikimoto maker’s mark beside the K14 stamp. The chain runs about 16 inches, a length that wears at the base of the neck. Mikimoto created the world’s first cultured pearl and built its reputation on the Akoya, the compact saltwater pearl known for its sharp luster.
