Carved as a Chinese longevity lock, this white jade pendant holds its scene in low relief, a robed figure with a peach beside a deer, a traditional pairing for long life and good fortune. The stone is an even white under a soft polish, the cloud-shaped silhouette scalloped at the shoulders, and Chinese characters are carved across the reverse. The pendant hangs from a 14K gold bail.
