Description
A ten-strand Ni’ihau shell wedding lei in clean Ke’oke’o white, hand-strung in the Pololei style with rice-shaped Laiki shells set end to end. The strands run approximately 50 inches in length and join at a single bumpy Apu’upu’u cowrie shell at the closure. At this length the ten strands fall in one full white cascade, the form these lei take for a Hawaiian wedding. This lei was strung entirely by hand in Hawaii from shells gathered on Ni’ihau.
This item was made in Hawaii, and is at least 80% Niihau shell. The actual percentage of Niihau shell in this item is 100%.
