Description
A Mikimoto brooch and screw-back earrings set in 14K yellow gold, the brooch a spray of long polished leaves holding a cluster of round white Akoya cultured pearls, running approximately 7.8 to 8.8 millimeters with a rose overtone in the luster. The open leaves curve up and around the cluster, the brooch fastens with a hinged pin, and the button pearl earrings sit on gold flower screw backs. Each piece is stamped with the circled-M Mikimoto trademark. Mikimoto created the world’s first cultured pearl and built its reputation on the Akoya, the compact saltwater pearl known for its sharp luster.
