Description
A Ming’s ring set with a large pale oval jade plaque in 14K yellow gold, an applied gold treble clef sweeping across the face of the stone in engraved ribbon. Four flat gold prongs hold the plaque at its compass points, and the split shoulders each carry a pierced triangular panel of stippled gold. The mounting is stamped Ming’s HK 14K, and the ring is a size 6.25. Ming’s was the Honolulu jewelry house famous for its carved jade and Asian-influenced design, and it has been closed for decades. A signed Ming’s piece cannot be reissued.
