Description
A translucent agate cabochon in a warm amber tone centers this Bernard Hurtig ring in 18K yellow gold, a modified sugarloaf cut measuring approximately 14.5 x 11.5mm. A cushion-shaped halo of round diamonds surrounds it, approximately 0.66 carats total at G-H color and VS clarity, with fluted gold shoulders flanking the stone on a ribbed shank. The ring is a size 4.25 and weighs close to 12.4 grams. It is signed BH for Bernard Hurtig, a Honolulu designer and internationally known art collector and author whose jewelry was made only in 18K gold, finished by craftsmen he trained in the Italian goldsmithing method.
