This Chinese white jade carving of fruit and foliage is pierced through in lively openwork, the stems and leaves wrapping around the rounded fruit with open passages cut clean through the stone. The stone is a pale creamy white with a honey cast at the blossom end and a soft translucence through the thin-carved passages. It comes with its fitted wood display stand, the seat carved to receive the carving.
