Description
Mutton fat white jade, warmed by natural russet coloring at one end, forms this carved figural pendant. The subject is worked fully in the round, with pierced openwork through the carving, and the reverse is finished as a ribbed surface that appears leaf-like with the russet concentrated in one patch. A gold-tone wire bail tops it for wear as a pendant, and it comes with its own carved openwork wooden display stand.
