Description
Moss-in-snow jade, white clouded through with bright green, is carved as a miniature vase in this Hildgund pendant, the neck flaring to a trumpet mouth between scalloped openwork handles. Foliate scrollwork winds in relief around the body, and the vase stands approximately 62 millimeters in height by 16 across. The mouth is capped in 14K yellow gold with a matching bail, stamped 14K, and the base carries the D&B mark of Dawkins & Benny. Dawkins & Benny was a Honolulu house that once made crests for Hawaiian royalty. The firm carries on today as Hildgund, and new pieces no longer bear the D&B mark.
