Description
Mottled green jade with drifts of white forms this carved belt piece, a rectangular tablet worked in low relief with scrolling motifs inside a raised border. A removable 14K yellow gold bale, stamped 585, screws down over the top edge, so the tablet hangs as a pendant today and comes free of its mount intact whenever it is wanted as the belt piece alone. The carving reads on both faces of the polished stone.
