Vintage items Some of our items are vintage or pre-owned and sold “as is”. Please review photos carefully before purchase and feel free to e-mail us if you have any questions about an item prior to purchase.
Additional Services – Additional ring resizing or item polishing may be available for a fee for certain items- Please message us prior to purchase. Note that altered items are non-returnable/non-refundable.
Sales Tax – Please note a 4.712% Hawaii sales tax will be added whether shipping or picking up in Hawai’i. Some states in the USA have also enforced an e-commerce tax.
We do not offer reserves or layaway at this time.
Forms of Payment
Check out through our shop uses Square. To prevent fraud, Square determines the validity of each purchase. Payment fees may apply.
Make an offer – If your offer is accepted, invoices are sent immediately upon acceptance, please contact us if you cannot pay within 48 hours. If we do not hear from you within 48 hours, the invoice and offer will be recinded and item released.
Local customers – can inquire about viewings & cash payment in person. If paying in person, credit card fees may be avoided by paying in cash/check. All local pick ups are subject to Hawaii GET.
If paying online and requesting local pick up – payment must clear before appointment can be scheduled. Local pick ups of online orders must be done in person by the purchaser with a valid government issued photo ID matching the payment account.
All local pick ups must be scheduled – you will be contacted after your order is received.
Shipping + Handling
Handling – Please allow 3-5 business days after online payment before we can ship your item. We ship only once payment is fully processed by Square/QuickBooks/Wire before we can release the item. You will receive an email from us with your tracking number when your item is prepared for shipping.
If you have ordered servicing such as polishing/cleaning/customization, we will let you know how much additional time is needed to complete your services.
Shipping – We ship within the USA only. The applicable shipping options will be presented at check out.
Shipping starts at $35+, which is typically a shipping method that takes 3-5 business days in transit to the Mainland US.
If you need a rush order, please call us for other payment and shipping options.
Returns
We are confident you will love your purchase, but please note that some of our items are vintage and pre-owned. These items are sold “as is”. Please take the time to review the pictures and feel free to message info@hiejb.com if you have any questions about an item prior to purchase.
Returns are granted on a case by case basis. Returns must be made within 3 days of customer receipt of the package and return shipping is paid for by the buyer. Time of receipt will be determined by the shipping tracking (USPS, FedEx etc).
Please note, we do not accept returns on resized/altered items and all items from our website will have a large visible tag attached, after it is removed the item cannot be accepted for return. Please review the item and working condition before removing the tag – we will not accept return after removed. We reserve the right to a restocking fee of up to 20%. Shipping fees are non-refundable. We are not responsible for any return shipping.

Do not ship before hearing from us. If the item is approved by us for a return, the buyer is responsible for the cost of shipping the item securely back to us. Returned items must be received by us in their original condition when they left our facility (no additional damage, etc) with all accessories, brand boxes, tags, certificates, appraisals, booklets, etc. Refunds are based only on item sale price and granted only to the original buyer through the original method of payment minus any restocking fees once the item and all accessories have been returned and inspected by our gemologists to be in original condition. We do not refund shipping costs or additional services purchased (additional ring re-sizing, polishing etc.). We cannot control how long it takes the payment processor and your bank to process your refund (In our experience 1-2 weeks from when we send it), we will only notify you when we have submitted the request.
If returns are not offered for your item, you will be notified on your invoice or prior to shipment.
